Layered Delight for a Coffeehouse Classic
Ingredients:
2 shots of espresso using our 817 beans
1/2 cup cold milk
2 tablespoons caramel sauce
Ice
Instructions:
Drizzle caramel sauce inside a tall glass.
Fill the glass with ice.
Pour in cold milk until almost full.
Add espresso shots slowly over the back of a spoon to create layers.
Enjoy!
Tips:
For a stronger coffee flavor, use 3 shots of espresso.
You can also use hot milk instead of cold milk.
If you don't have caramel sauce, you can make your own by melting caramel candies in a saucepan over medium heat.
This recipe can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
Additional notes:
Caramel macchiatos are traditionally made with vanilla syrup, but I prefer the taste of caramel.
This recipe is for one serving. You can easily double or triple the recipe to make more.
