This classic Italian dessert is a simple yet elegant combination of espresso and vanilla ice cream. The rich, dark espresso melts over the cool, creamy ice cream to create a symphony of flavors and textures.
Ingredients:
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 shot espresso (we recommend our Colombia or Guatemala coffee beans)
Chocolate shavings, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Place a scoop of vanilla ice cream in each of two serving glasses.
Pour a shot of espresso over each scoop of ice cream.
Garnish with chocolate shavings, if desired.
Serve immediately.
Tips:
For a stronger coffee flavor, use a double shot of espresso.
If you don't have chocolate shavings, you can use cocoa powder or grated chocolate.
You can also add a splash of liqueur, such as amaretto or Frangelico, for an extra flavor boost.
