Delicious Affogato

This classic Italian dessert is a simple yet elegant combination of espresso and vanilla ice cream. The rich, dark espresso melts over the cool, creamy ice cream to create a symphony of flavors and textures.


  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

  • 1 shot espresso (we recommend our Colombia or Guatemala coffee beans)

  • Chocolate shavings, for garnish (optional)


  1. Place a scoop of vanilla ice cream in each of two serving glasses.

  2. Pour a shot of espresso over each scoop of ice cream.

  3. Garnish with chocolate shavings, if desired.

  4. Serve immediately.


  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use a double shot of espresso.

  • If you don't have chocolate shavings, you can use cocoa powder or grated chocolate.

  • You can also add a splash of liqueur, such as amaretto or Frangelico, for an extra flavor boost.
